Recipe Scraper is a browser extension that extracts the recipe (title, ingredients, and instructions) from a recipe blog page and displays it on a clean results page, with credit and a link back to the original site.
When you click the extension icon on a webpage, the extension reads that page's publicly embedded recipe data (structured data the site itself publishes for search engines) to build the clean recipe view. It does not read any other tabs, browsing history, or personal information.
The extracted recipe is stored temporarily in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) so it can be displayed on the results page. It is never sent to any server, third party, or analytics service. Nothing about your browsing is collected, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
The extracted recipe stays in local browser storage only until the next time you use the extension, at which point it is overwritten. It is never synced, backed up, or shared.
Recipe Scraper does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services of any kind, and does not share data with any third party.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a new "Last updated" date.
